Any other suggestions? I have downloaded a copyof SHLWAPI.dl from File Gurus, but their copy is version 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) and the current copy I have is version 6.0.2800.1106. Deleted those and then tried the SP2 installer again. I was able to fix that by going into the Recovery console and replacing the ntdetect and ntldr files manually.
