We checked the ECM for a chip.We opened the cover on the top of it and looked inside...no chip installed. I tried to install a different custom tune..I followed the instructions just like I did before only this time an error pops up. Mine's an automatic and I haven't had to pull the fuses except for that one glitch. At that time the SCT X3 responded with "SCT error 1019 - Unlock ECM Failed". No matter what I have to wait for the tuner to come back from SCT. his comment is here I have been working with the tuner I bought it from trouble shooting checking for correct voltage, making sure there is no piggyback tuner already in place and he sent me After I do that,they told me to disconnect my alarm system..it can be causing the battery to drain. I sent an email to SCT about the tuner being unlocked and unmarried so I am waiting for a response on that.
Go back to car and start the whole uploading of your custom tune process all over. But if I put them through all that trouble I dont know If they will put everything back..free. Did pull all 6 BCM fuses and the onstar fuse. Before that I was not able to retune to stock or anything but with that base stock tune I could retune it to stock and nothing else?
I don't fricken know what is going on but this is fricken annoying. I never pulled any fuses either. Or i'm looking at maybe ECU is screwed up and sending/receiving wrong voltage?? I tried uploading other tunes that I have uploaded in the past. That program is in the TCM. Removing all power to the TCM allowed me to bring the car back to life and now, again, I don't have to pull the fuses to swap tunes.
Doesn't work. I want to be sure I'm not missing a possible problem with my truck. MAYBE a chip...but I am not sure on that. For example, with my LMAF, after loading the SCT value file, I had to scale down the MTF by about 30% to get the AF dialed in.
